About Us

Kathy (she/her/hers) is not your typical lawyer. Her goal is to provide personal one-on-one legal services to each and every client. Since she is the only attorney in the firm, you will never have the “handshake with the owner and pass off to an associate” experience present in many larger law firms.

Kathy believes that you should have access to legal services that do two things. First and most importantly, you should be able to understand exactly what your options are for your legal situation. The options should be explained in easy-to-understand language, and you should feel 100% comfortable asking your attorney questions if you don’t understand something. Second, the services offered should actually meet your needs. Kathy does not believe in selling services to people that don’t need them. There is no need to perpetuate or feed into any lawyer stereotypes.

Kathy grew up as a military brat in San Antonio, TX. She is a first-generation college graduate. Kathy’s dad taught her how important it is to help other people, and every job she’s had as an adult has been in service of others. First, she worked for the federal government before staying home to focus on her children. Raising four kids is a service in and of itself! When Kathy returned to public service, she spent more than 10 years at the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission. She held nearly every job she could in the unemployment division, including 5 years as an Appeals Hearing Officer.

Kathy understands how difficult it is to balance the needs of family with work and personal obligations. She worked full-time throughout law school while raising 4 teenagers as a single parent. In her free time, Kathy enjoys spending time with her kids (Dylan, Levi, Riley & Lauren), and two cats (Hermione – a/k/a Law Cat & The Fuzz). She is also an avid knitter, crocheter, and spinner.
